The Dr. Althea Retinol Flat Iron Eye Roller is an anti-ageing eye serum with a built-in gua sha-style flat iron roller applicator — designed to deliver retinol and a comprehensive anti-ageing active system to the eye area with a simultaneous lifting massage, without the hand contact and formula wastage of traditional eye cream application.

The retinol delivery system is engineered for eye-area sensitivity: Retinol at 0.1% (1,000ppm) is effective for fine lines and collagen stimulation, while 5% CicaRetisome™ encapsulates the retinol in a Centella Asiatica and Madecassoside shell that controls its release rate — reducing irritation significantly compared to unencapsulated retinol. Madecassoside is listed separately in the INCI, providing additional standalone cica soothing alongside the encapsulation system. Bakuchiol complements the retinol with a second, photostability-independent pathway for collagen stimulation.

Three targeted peptides address different eye concerns: Acetyl Tetrapeptide-5 (under-eye puffiness and dark circles), Acetyl Hexapeptide-1 (collagen production), and Acetyl Hexapeptide-8 / Argireline (expression line relaxation). How to use
  • 01Apply after cleansing and toner, before moisturiser. PM use recommended.
  • 02Press gently on the pump to dispense a small amount of serum onto the flat iron roller tip.
  • 03Roll the applicator outward and upward around the eye area — from inner corner to outer corner, then upward along the brow bone. Repeat 3–5 times per eye.
  • 04Gently pat any remaining serum into skin with fingertips until absorbed.
